Our Story
The foundations of Zarb Coaches, also known to many of our customers as Zarb Garage, were laid in the late 1940s.
In 1947, our founder, Mr Joseph Zarb, acquired his first coach after years working in the transportation of merchandise. His son, Carmelo, continued to grow the business, expanding the fleet and workforce as demand for private transport and Malta's tourism industry increased.
Following in the family tradition, Carmelo's son, Manuel Zarb, began working in the garage at the age of 16 and later became a minibus and coach driver. In 2001, he took over the business and incorporated it as Zarb Coaches Ltd. Under his leadership, the company expanded its range of services and fleet to meet the evolving needs of both local and international clients.
Today, the fourth generation of the Zarb family is helping shape the company's future. Frederick Zarb, Manuel's son and a Director of the company, continues to build on the family's reputation for professionalism, reliability and exceptional service.
Zarb Coaches Today
Located in central Malta, Zarb Coaches operates from extensive premises that reflect the scale of our operations. Our facilities include a three-acre garage dedicated to the maintenance and daily upkeep of our vehicles, three acres of parking facilities, and 800m² of offices housing our administration, accounts and dispatch teams.
Our fleet consists of 50 vehicles, ranging from standard and executive chauffeur-driven cars to 10- and 18-seater minibuses, as well as 30- to 55-seater coaches and luxury coaches. Behind every journey is a dedicated workforce of 65 full-time and part-time employees, including administrative staff, mechanics and professional drivers.

Through continued investment in modern vehicles and the latest technology, combined with decades of experience, we are proud to deliver professional transportation solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Since 2007, Zarb Coaches has proudly been the official transport company for Isle of MTV Malta, responsible for the transportation of staff, artists and equipment for one of Malta's largest international events.
Zarb Coaches is also the operator of www.maltaairporttransfers.com and the sole Maltese member of The Global Passenger Network, an international organisation connecting trusted passenger transport providers around the world. Its members are recognised for delivering services of the highest standards in safety, quality and passenger transportation.
